Everybody had an opinion about what I should do next. Take it easy. Slow down. Keep it quiet.

So I did the opposite.

I'm Paul. I took early retirement, and everybody assumed that meant winding down. Instead, I picked up a camera.

When I finished work, I went looking for someone who'd already done it. Not for advice, just to see what life after retirement actually looked like day to day. There's plenty out there about pensions and financial planning. There's almost nothing about an ordinary Tuesday.

So I started filming mine. This is what early retirement actually looks like as a lifestyle, not a spreadsheet. If you're weighing it up yourself, that's what this channel is for.

This is Vlog Life 247: travel, eateries, events, and honest reviews of the tech I actually use. Some weeks that's testing an e-bike round the corner from my house. Some weeks it's a night market on the other side of the world, a title parade with a million and a half other people, or a crater lake at the top of a volcano in the Philippines.

No scripts. No fake hype. Brands do send me things now, and the standard hasn't changed: if I wouldn't have bought it myself, I don't review it. If I would, you get the honest verdict, including the bits that aren't worth your money.

And if you're the one quietly wondering whether your best years are behind you, they're not.
