ADO Air 20 Pro Review: Everything You Need To Know Before You Buy This Folding Electric Bike

ADO sent me this bike to review. The thoughts and the score are my own, as always.

This is the full version. It is a folding city ebike with a carbon belt drive, automatic two speed gears and the battery hidden inside the seat post. I unbox it, build it myself, run through every spec, walk you through the entire colour display and the hidden settings menu, bind the NFC card, pair the app properly, pull the battery out, fold it for the London Underground and then take it up a seriously steep hill to see what that Bafang motor can do.

It is UK and EU road legal, so no worries about being pulled over. And because it folds, it is allowed on TfL services when a non folding ebike is not.

If you only want the verdict, skip to the wrap up. If you are actually buying one, watch the display and app sections, because that is the part nobody else shows you.

TWO THINGS WORTH KNOWING The GPS icon is on the display and in the app, but on my bike the app says the feature is not yet enabled. So treat GPS as something that may come later rather than something you are buying today.

When you pair the app, do it from inside the ADO app itself, not from your phone’s Bluetooth settings. It will not work that way. Full walkthrough at 21:26.
