Brick Lane Curry Festival 2026 in London, and I went down to see what was on.
I came out of Aldgate East station and nearly walked straight past the turning, because you have to go down Osborn Street first to get onto Brick Lane. It caught me out. The festival kicked off with a welcome from Tower Hamlets and a Chinese dragon dance coming up the street, and then I had a walk down as many of the stalls as I could get to.
One of the stalls gave me a free curry taste and it was very, very spicy. I showed the prices as I went, so you can see what things actually cost down there. There is a lot more than curry on Brick Lane as well. I found Brazilian feijoada, birria tacos, jollof rice and plantain off an African grill, Vietnamese food, Dutch pancakes and French crepes, and I had a pit stop in the Brick Lane Vintage Market on the way. Right at the end you have got the famous beigel shops with the queues coming out the door.
