Japan Matsuri London 2026 at Trafalgar Square: I walked round the stalls with the missus, checked the prices and tried the food, from Japanese fried chicken (karaage) to a takoyaki ball and noodles. This was the Sunday 4 October festival.

I showed the prices on screen as I went, so you can see what a day at Japan Matsuri London costs before you decide whether to go next year. The queues were long but very well organised, and the food ranged from crispy chicken to takoyaki, onigiri, noodles, mochi, sushi and ramen.
A quick correction on the Fourth Plinth: the blue statue is Lady in Blue by Tschabalala Self, unveiled on 10 September 2026. I said in the video I thought it was there for Black History Month. It wasn't put up for that, it was commissioned back in March 2024. Black History Month is in October in the UK though, so it's a good time to look into it.
